Debs has been an integral part of the Aboki Family for the past 8 years. As our Second-in-Command, she shines as both a Colour Master and an inspiring In-Salon Educator. Keen to share her expertise, you'll often find her leading Academy classes on Thursdays, shaping the talents of tomorrow.

Meet Damask, our Master Colourist with a wealth of experience and a true passion for color mastery. 

Since beginning her hairdressing journey in 2009 in Wellington, she has honed her skills at two top salons before proudly returning to her hometown of Nelson.

Casey, a dedicated stylist with over two decades of experience in Auckland's dynamic hairdressing scene, brings a warm and nurturing approach to her craft. As a loving mother to her son, Fox, she understands the importance of feeling confident and beautiful.

Grace is a standout talent in our stylist team and a cherished part of the Aboki Family since she began her apprenticeship in 2021. With over a year since completing her training, Grace has built a large clientele specialising in creative colourwork, exceptional grey blending techniques, corrective coloring, transformative long hair styles, including lived-in colors and balayage.

Eden is a senior stylist at Aboki with a true passion for all things hair, especially glossy colours, bright blondes, and lived-in looks. With an eye for detail, she loves creating beautiful, personalised styles while making sure every client feels relaxed and cared for during their time in the chair.

Alice is passionate about helping people express who they are through their hair. Whether it’s bold and creative or soft and affirming, she works with clients to create styles that feel authentically them.

Hello, I’m Faye, and I’ve proudly been part of the Aboki family for 28 years. Before joining this wonderful team, I owned my own salon for 28 years in Timaru, giving me nearly 60 years of experience in the hairdressing world.

Lizzy is a vibrant and skilled Senior Stylist, renowned as Aboki's perm specialist.

 Her clients adore her creative flair in colour and personalized hair transformations that reflect each individual's personality and style.

Sarah started working at Aboki as an apprentice in 2000, during that time she trained in cutting and styling with Fox Stevens. Sarah has been hairdressing since completing her apprenticeship at Aboki in 2005 – she loves colour work and cutting!

EMERGING STYLIST

Hello! I'm Alana, an enthusiastic emerging stylist with a passion for bright blondes, lived-in styles, and rich brunettes. I also have a keen eye for crafting sharp, solid blonde looks. Having recently completed my polytechnic training, I'm dedicated to building a strong clientele as I prepare for my big final exam in 2026.

Meet Macy, a second-year apprentice and enthusiastic second-generation stylist at your favorite salon—Aboki!

 At just 20 years old, Macy brings a bubbly and energetic presence to our team, naturally thriving in fast-paced, people-focused environments. Hairdressing is more than just a profession for her; it's a perfect fit for her vibrant personality.

Nicole is at the beginning of her hairdressing journey as a Year 1 apprentice and is currently completing Fox’s Foundation Series, focusing on developing strong cutting fundamentals.

 

She’s enjoying building her skills from the ground up and learning what it takes to become a confident stylist.

Ashleigh has joined us as a Year 2 apprentice after completing her Level 3 in Hairdressing at Weltec in Wellington and recently relocating to Nelson.

 

With strong foundational training already under her belt, she brings fresh energy and confidence to this next stage of her salon journey.

I’m excited to join the Aboki team and put my 20+ years of salon management experience in Auckland to good use as Operations Manager.

 

My passion is people — building strong relationships, supporting teams and continually enhancing the client experience.
