Melissa is our CEO and Director - She is a second-generation stylist having been born into the hairdressing industry. With over 37 years of experience as a full-time stylist, she is our wealth of knowledge and inspiration.

Debs embarked on her hairstyling journey back in 1997 in Christchurch. Since then, she has gained experience working in Auckland and Wellington before joining the Aboki team in 2018.

Meet Damask, our senior stylist with a wealth of experience! She embarked on her hairdressing journey in 2009, starting in Wellington and honing her skills in two top salons before returning to her hometown, Nelson.

Faye is our star! She’s been at Aboki for nearly 26 years after previously owning her own salon for 28 years!

With almost 60 years of hairdressing, she is a phenomenal hairdresser and an incredible person to know, inspiring her daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter to follow in her footsteps.

Casey, a dedicated stylist with over two decades of experience in Auckland's dynamic hairdressing scene, brings a warm and nurturing approach to her craft. As a loving mother to her son, Fox, she understands the importance of feeling confident and beautiful.

Lizzy is a skilled senior stylist who is quickly building a loyal clientele. She is particularly talented with colour, and her clients love her creative and personalized transformations.

Grace is one of our talented stylists and has been apart of the Aboki Family since starting her apprenticeship in 2021. Grace has undergone two years of extensive cutting training from well-renowned Fox Steven’s and is continuously investing in her education and creative community.

Eden is an senior stylist here at Aboki and loves being part of the team. She particularly loves being creative with colour creating beautiful glossy colours and bright and dimensional blondes.

Alice is passionate about helping people express who they are through their hair. Whether it’s bold and creative or soft and affirming, she works with clients to create styles that feel authentically them.

Sarah started working at Aboki as an apprentice in 2000, during that time she trained in cutting and styling with Fox Stevens. Sarah has been hairdressing since completing her apprenticeship at Aboki in 2005 – she loves colour work and cutting!

EMERGING STYLIST

Alana is a perfectionist with a passion for making people feel beautiful through hairstyling. When she's not in the salon, she enjoys exploring the outdoors. With a lifelong love for art and beauty, Alana initially pursued beauty therapy, taking a year-long part-time program at NMIT.

FRONT OF HOUSE

Priya has a background in Hairdressing and loves the creativity the industry has to offer and the fast-paced salon life.

Jaz is Aboki's full-time Marketing Manager; everything online is managed through her - From our social media to our website, newsletters, promotions, online booking systems etc.

Macy is a first-year apprentice and proud second-generation stylist at your favourite salon — Aboki!

At just 20, she brings a bubbly, energetic presence to the team and thrives in fast-paced, people-focused environments — making hairdressing the perfect fit.

Srevie is a passionate 17-year-old and a first-year apprentice at Aboki, eager to learn everything she can about the craft of hairdressing.

Although she’s new to the team, Stevie has already made a great impression with her dedication, positive attitude, and love for the industry.
