Aboki Hairdresser

Aboki is a locally owned and operated salon, John and Melissa purchased Aboki in January 1995. "Aboki" means ‘My Friend’ in Hausa the language spoken in Niger and Northern Nigeria.

We are privileged to have a dedicated staff and are continually striving for excellence in what we can do for you, our valued clients.

This involves regular team training, off the job training, attendance at conferences both in New Zealand and overseas and monthly in-salon technical consultants.

We pride ourselves in catering for a wide range of clientele, offering expert service and advice. We endeavor to be there when our clients need us, opening 12 hours most days, excluding Sunday being a family day. We all work as one team, our regular training evenings extend our skills within this industry, no one ever stops learning.

Aboki has a current staff of 18 including a full-time receptionist. They take care of the day to day running of the salon, which enables us to give our clients our undivided attention. We invite you to take ‘time out’ with us.
